Music Evolution

Weekly at the Sand Bar, Praa Sands. Music Evolution are a Cornish ‘groove collective’. Visit www.musicevolution.co.uk
Here’s Joe Rorke’s top nine:

Natural Self 'The Sound' (Breakin Bread)
Natural Selfs Heavy Drum Patterns with Steppy horn stabs make for a solid dancefloor scenario that your legs can't argue with
Jaylib 'The Red' (Stones Throw)
This was the first 12" from the Jay Dee / Madlib collaboration. Heavy, Heavy stuff.... say no more.
Red Astaire 'Follow Me' (Gamm)
This has been around for about a year now and never stops turning me on!
Superbly understated hip hop at its best.
Jazzanova feat. Sean Escoffery 'Boom Klicky Boom Klack (That's What We Do)' (Talkin Loud)
Jazzanova at their most accessable, a tough break beat and rolling bassline
provide the backdrop for Sean Escofferys laid back vocal.
Beat Conductor '4 On The Floor' (Dicey)
House, Reggae, Q-Tip ------ Amazing!
Ty 'Look 4 Me' (Big Dada)
The latest cut to be released from his 'UPWARDS' album. This tune has the
capability to blow up any sound system and storm any dance floor.
Husky Rescue 'Summertime Cowboy’ Serge Santiago Remix (Catskills)
This tune gets in your head and makes itself at home. Gay Electro House.
Dance for me...
Danny Breaks 'The Windscreen Wiper' (Alphabet Zoo)
Very obvious appeal with this one. Sounds like a fat guy sitting in a room
by himself with a drum kit and a fart machine. My kind of thing...
Diggin in the Crates 'Day One' (Tommy Boy)
Although this tune has been around for a while, its re-release warrants it a
place here in my chart. One of my favourite ever hip hop tunes.
